09/03/2014 I’ve been in a bit of funk over the last couple of months but now I am getting back into the regular reviewing thing again. I have been watching lot of TV series and I really want to start featuring that but I am unsure what format it is going to take.  I think I will do a series summary then individual episode summaries will be linked to from the series page.

28/9/2013 Just coming to Halloween and rather trying to get out a film review every day I’m going to a Horror Film Diary of the films I watch each day and maybe post reviews of some of them.

28/08/2013 I’ve been a bit lazy recently cos I’m on 2 weeks vacation and after watching the first four seasons of Fringe on Netflix..Compared to the dull stuff that’s coming out on DVD recently TV is getting pretty interesting in recent years and I’m tempted to review some of the series that I enjoy like Fringe, Supernatural and older series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sapphire and Steel.

2/07/2013 I’m going to use this poor neglected page to note the film’s I watch. This evening I’m going to see Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim. It’s getting very positive word-of-mouth for its visuals and action and I think I’m going to have a good time.

25/03/2012 Yesterday I began a new feature which may have to be abbreviated to Notable Occurrences with a weekly round-up of news about films. I am thinking of posts using the ever popular list format and other article ideas that I want o post that are relevant to this blog

04/03/2012  I’ve got a few films in the pipeline for watching and reviewing including Drive, Kill List and We Need to talk about Kevin.

Well I got to 100 reviews with my Interview with a Vampire review, I should perhaps have said something the day I posted it.

I started this blog in 2010 to help remind myself about the films I have watched. In writing the reviews and watching the films for the purpose of writing review I find I was gaining a better appreciation of the films themselves. My reviews of older films will be longer and more detailed and contain spoilers.

I have always loved a touch of the fantastic in books, television and films so there will be a lot more horror, science fiction and fantasy films than anything else reviewed here though I’ve always got time for good action film or comedy too. I do enjoy big budget studios films like anyone else but I also like to try out a lot of lesser known low-budget films from independent film-makers.
